The Gift of Life

If you live in Ontario, please give some thought to donating your organs after you die. They will be of no use to you when you are dead, but could be life-saving to someone still living.

Each time I renew my driver's licence, part of the licence includes a small organ donor card that you can carry with you in your wallet. Lois and I have always filled out this card and we carry it with us.

However, until recently, I was not aware of the provincial registry at http://www.giftoflife.on.ca/ There, you can fill out a PDF form specifically to add yourself to the organ donor registry.

Please do it now. If you do not live in Ontario, contact your local authorities, government, or hospital to find out where you can go to register your wishes to donate your organs upon your death.
